Iron Heart was built around a single, uncompromising idea: durability above all else. Founded in 2003 by Shinichi Haraki, the brand became known for developing some of the heaviest proprietary selvedge denim in production, including its signature 21oz fabric. Garments are made in Japan using reinforced stitching, oversized hardware, and construction designed to withstand years of hard wear. The focus is engineering rather than nostalgia, with function dictating form at every stage. Derek Guy has described Iron Heart as “denim taken to an extreme, where durability drives every design decision.” Its appeal lies in clothing meant to be worn hard, repaired, and kept indefinitely.
